About the Award

Online Assessment Portal

In response to the changing circumstances and workplace consultation, we have now developed the Award so that all participating workplaces can complete their full award submissions online, via a dedicated and secure platform.

The bespoke portal is responsive to individual workplaces and allows the upload of both assessment document narrative along with coresponding portfolio evidence in an intuitive one-stop-shop.

The portal is easy, efficient, paperless and dynamic; working in real-time as well as ensuring safe and COVID-compliant support and assessments for both workplaces and Assessors during the current pandemic.

Every participant has an individual log-in and assessment record that can be updated as and when activity has been undertaken throughout the process which is stored and visible to them and their designated Assessor.

We wanted to improve employee engagement in health and wellbeing as it’s the right thing to do as a business and may also contribute to improvement in morale, a better people culture, and reduction in sickness absence levels in the long term.

We wanted to help and support our employees by giving them access to tools, resources and information to improve their health – physically and mentally, both in the workplace and in their personal lives.

We have really enjoyed participating in the award over the years. We joined the scheme to help us improve the health & wellbeing of our workforce not only at work but also at home. The campaigns and areas that we cover are varied and we try to include the workforces family and friends wherever possible.

The award is very well structured there is lots of information on the BHAWA website and we have lots of help at support. It has ensured that our organisations' Health & Wellbeing agenda is structured and well thought out.

At the time of enrolling on the BHAWA SUEZ did not have any health strategies in place. We started off on a blank canvas and were given the freedom by the plant manager to run our first campaigns. The wider business soon caught on and we now have an amazing wellness for all charter and Wellbeing and Inclusion Manager.

It gave us the starting point to a wider company movement and now wellness is a hot topic for the whole business. Enrolling every year onto a new level gives the site its focus and an end aim of achieving the award. The award recognises good work we do, and we also received the special recognition award in 2022.

The BHAW network provides an excellent forum to engage with other local businesses and organisations sharing best practices, knowledge and resources to improve colleague wellbeing.
